Sitting in my garden.
A butterfly flutters by, ignores me
but semaphores bye bye.
Sitting in my garden.
An ant arrives, examines my shoes
And antics away
Sitting in my garden.
A bee buzzes over, checks me out
Then bumbles off.
Sitting in my garden.
A wrathful wasp snarls in, wounds me,
zzzzts off to new wars.
Sitting in my garden.
The sullen space that you once filled creeps close -
and stays.

J'u know I've come back to this poem two or three times because I like it but have never been able to put into words why.

HI,
I, on the other hand, know exactly why I like YOUR pithy, humorous and sometimes touching poems.
Thanks for taking the trouble to say something positive. |

Perhaps you've hit the button with your description of my poems. We are both in our own way alike. By that I mean different to much of the "main stream YPDC"
you know....
lost love........loneliness......suicidal.........heart and soul fanatics...........
I oftern wonder what these characters are going be like whern they've been together for a few years dealing with reality
Thanks for your kind words about my poetry. |

Interesting? I fail to comprehend those words. The poem is beautiful. The silver-sweet chill of love, tinged with a mild tongue of bouyant irony. I love it.
Whoever you are, I admire your work.
