WHEN THE DEVIL TRIES TO TEMPT YOU
AND YOU KNOW NOT WHAT TO DO
JUST TURN TO GOD IN PRAYER
FOR HE WILL SEE YOU THROUGH
HE'LL BREAK THE TIES THAT BIND YOU
AND THE DEVIL WILL LOSE CONTROL
HE'LL SAVE YOU AND HE'LL GIVE YOU
PEACE AND REFUGE FOR YOUR SOUL
OLE SATAN TRIES TO BREAK YOU DOWN
WHEN YOU'RE AT YOUR WEAKEST POINT
JUST LIFT YOUR HANDS AND PRAISE THE LORD
YOUR SOUL HE WILL ANOINT
HE'LL GIVE YOU LIFE ETERNAL
THAT PROMISE OF HIS IS TRUE
I'VE READ IT IN THE BIBLE
WHERE HE TRIED TO TEMPT JESUS TOO !!!

it's a great write, it really is, it's just....i guess the only problem i had with it is that things are not always that easy. especially for the non-religious people.
loved the poem though

I find as I was growing in faith I was constantly attacked by Satan
My God Is So BIG so strong and so MIGHTY there is nothing he cannot do if we keep the faith.

Talk about believers. Look up the term belief, believer, it has other meanings. There are many who believe, have that belief, that after you are saved, the devil can't get you, try to harm you. Oh my yes, temptations coming out of the wood work.. How many are not on safe grounds.. Believers, as far as believing in God, Jesus, they still must pray hard to keep from temptations each day no matter what. satan is very busy and very real. he will try to keep you deceived by thinking he and his workers are your friends, give you the world and then, trash you. Just because you are a religious person, well. whatever you want to call those folks who trust and know God, christians what have you, you might want to stick away from satan. He is not your friend. God will never forsake you, or put you up to doing wrongful acts. He is all love... satan is not love, he is hate and greed, and many other evil things. It would not be wise to follow satan. what I want to know is, why can someone say they do not believe in God or heaven, yet can talk about satan and hell? Yes Jesus was tempted for sure. satan told Jesus several things that a person like you or I would just love to have, thinking its all good and great. It is not easy when you are tempted, it is difficult at times to come away from it. One must always be on guard of evil temptations at all moments.
Wonderful write.. keep writing truth. God is truth, satan is truth. but those two truths are not the same. they are total opposites. |
