Effortlessly Wicked

It was decided recently, that effort existed inside my soul.
The way a chrysalis slumbers, or fire creeps out of control.
Inside this effort, there exists a spectrum of color.
Red and blue, like true opposites, loving no other.
There is fire all around us, but we stand still and won't let a soul move.
I never dreamed it would be like this, but then again I never do.
I drag my hand over wet concrete and let it stay cold.
The coarse, grainy texture, was all inside my soul.
The fire does not search for high places, like a wicked ladder into the sky.
It crawls across the floor, staring effortlessly before it shall die.
I do not understand effort. It is confusing and it will make me go insane.
I am crazy on the inside, only when I feel like rain.
I saw the burning butterfly. I never dreamed that it would feel like this.
All the color and the texture, makes me wait for my dream's wicked, effortless kiss.
