Physical Love

Contributed by eggflipper on Tuesday, 21st February 2006 @ 11:17:47 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

When words have lost their meaning,
the stare across the room is void of emotion,
the story of love is being told by upturn leaves.

Anger has been acted
leaving restlessness as its sequel
and musical scores
that no longer articulate the morals.
We are watching dandelions
grow in a rose garden
where the act is no longer
described by its label.

But somewhere between heaven and hell
his head has found comfort in her belly
where pools of salty lakes
slowly evaporate into the air.
Here his eyes fade into darkness
as rhythmic heartbeats
soothe his heated breathe.
Her navel has invited ecstasy
to take root and blossom,
to stay and remove the past.

Such impersonal standards
can be taken for the beginnings
of a golden path,
where sweet arcs overpower
the sense of logic.
But when has logic
initiated the grand journey?

i dont know where to start.
This is so airy so light on the mind, but so heavy on the heart. it seems as though there is alot of inner conflict.
I adore the lines: We are watching dandelions
grow in a rose garden.
There are so many different takes on your words. Very abstract at times...lingering visualisations and suggestions.
A well written piece. Overwhelming.
