A Gesture Life

Topic: oops

I have this perfect vision
A portrait of me and you
I want all the world to share this
My simplistic point of view

I always perceived love as sickly
In my dark and selfish days
Yet your heart shone pure radiance
Your love really changed my ways

Has it been two years since we met?
Under the watchful hands of time
Two years as our lips first entwined
As the church bells sang their chime

We didn't do anything too romantic
Just our stupid little things
But looking back on that cold grey day
I smile at the memory it brings

Sometimes when life drags me down
To its pit of empathy
I look forward to seeing your smirky smile
It brings a warmth to me

Two years have been hard on us
Sharing the good times and the bad
But looking back I wouldn't change a thing
There the best I ever had

So take my hand and walk with me
Till the end we'll never part
All that's left for me to say is
"I love you with all my heart............."
