If I were to suppose that you, with silver red and blue blond hair, desired me, I would turn to you, consider you, and place my hand upon your cheek; it is not in the moment of your loss that I am to be desired, but in the presence of your fulfillment.
I lack the strength of a proud love, nor am I affluent with desire. I am not able to give wholly, my heart, for I am wed to the perseverance of my own words. It is, I admit, the ruination of my soul, that I would, with such gaiety, weave my love in admonition of the desirer, all the while casting my own desires to the dirty pits of laughter.
But if you, against my seething laughter, desire me, and in your love and sadness, call out for me, I will come. For it is the presence of your fulfillment that I am to be desired, and in the moment of your loss that I am to be loved.
