What Dreams are Made of

Contributed by Channing on Monday, 20th February 2006 @ 04:07:02 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Every night when I go to sleep
You are the only thing on my mind
For you have dug into me so deep
Because you are so kind

Once I close my eyes
Your beautiful image appears
Followed by a bright sunrise
And the skies calm tears

Your soft arms spread
The world begins to fill with life
In your presence nothing is dead
Nor is there any strife

Green grass begins to rise
Them comes the daffodil and the rose
Pastel colors cover the skies
And a soothing wind blows

I grab the rose
You grab the daffodil
We come together so close
Upon an alluring hill

You’ve created a delicate and divine scape
What I’ve been waiting for
Has finally begun to shape
And a love that I shall implore

We make a loving trade
Your daffodil and my rose
Then your angelic image begins to fade
As this elegant dream comes to a close

I slowly awake
With a smile on my face
A slight touch of heartache
Knowing your in a different place

I know everything is okay
Someday we may fall in love
So I’ll be trying again today
After all, you’re what dreams are made of

-Channing-
