The Storm

Contributed by NoSaint on Sunday, 19th February 2006 @ 08:54:00 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I watch the dark ominous clouds rolling in.
Soon the rain will be falling in torrents
I can hear the roar of thunder in the distance
Lightening lights up the gray sky

The storm is coming all the earth is preparing
The birds no longer chirping their songs
Not so much as a bee or butterfly around
Nothing but the wind blowing through the trees

I welcome this storm for it mirrors
That of the tempest in my heart
The rain will once again hide my tears
With this external gale blowing
The internal forces are hidden

For my spirit fights a battle
How much longer will this whirlwind rage
How much longer will I suffer?
I long so much for the tranquility after the storm

When will I feel the calm serenity?
The peace of the soul once more
For now I just watch the clouds rolling in
Bringing the wrath of the Heavens

Knowing
Feeling
Its fury from within

Shari,Omg, you have written exactly what it feels like when one suffers from depression. I have alot of down days and what you've written sums it all up. The fury from within ones self. An oustanding and very well penned piece of poetry. I'm so glad you are doing alot better my dear friend. May ur days always be bright and blest sweet lady Shari.

And with His love He always sees us through and calms us with His love.. He knows more than we.. we must all give Him our hearts.. and let Him take care of us all.. hugs. ... when you think there is nothing more, than you call on Him, and you find everything you need.. His warmth, His food, His shelter, His love.. His life that is yours.. ... raquelLeah
