Open door of Me

Contributed by basspjjv3 on Sunday, 19th February 2006 @ 11:33:30 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Open your eyes and what do you see?
A door full of possibilities.
That is for a person of charm
The face of a model and a good arm.

I am not that
Because I am fat.
And no one will open the door,
To the world of no remorse.

The person inside
Can’t ever hide.
Just a smile makes everything ok
But not today…

Today is the day of realization,
Where the stranger walks out the door
And sees the horizon.

Words flow through my mind,
Somewhere I can’t find
Is a place that feels like home.

But now I feel as if I’m in Jail,
A part of me wants to explore
And go to the ocean and sail.

To a place where people like me
Are expected as we should be.
Not everyone looks like a model
And we shouldn’t dawdle
On the facts of life.

But bring out what we are holding inside
And the pain and strife
To give us piece of mind.

I write this poem to let out
All of the feelings of self doubt.

I wrote in five minutes
Some of what I am feeling is out.
Through that Open Door…

A great write, but you must realise that models don't really look like models! It's all an illusion. Most of the time if you get close up they are full of flaws, nowadays anyone can look like anything they want them to look like. I think your poem was very well written and I think you are a beautiful person. I love the fact that you want to go on adventures because adventurers are our pioneers in life. Love yourself, you owe it to you.
