The Final Affair

Contributed by flirtyrockstar on Tuesday, 28th January 2003 @ 06:15:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Here I go
Blowing my chance
For a tomorrow.
Unwrap another battery
And let it bleed it's poison
Onto me
Silver mercury
Soak the pores in basking pain
A glossy coat that will remain
Eternally this stain will remain.

Singe my skin
And burn it away
Each layer paper thin.
Grip each fingernail
Pull it back, rip it slow
Musn't fail
Scars make better tales
Bloody tears from each finger
A salty trail will always linger,
Eternally a shadow will linger.

Drive this back as far as you want
Assasinate the hopes left in fate
You've already smothered forever
You've made my entrance late
I spent my forever trying to make everything better
Now I'm counting on hate

Nothing physical
Will ever amount to the emotional
Cuts Bruises and Scars
You've left the knife in my heart
I'll bleed this nightmare
Till it departs my despaire
-The Final Affair-
