Dolly Child

Contributed by bohemian_with_a_pen on Sunday, 19th February 2006 @ 12:48:13 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Dolly child with perfect smile
Has a secret no one would assume
She learnt the signs well before her time
And slips invisible to her room

Sitting silent on her bed
Legs crossed, hands in prayer
Counting the toys atop her table
Numbers are always fair

[And Daddy says “no more today”
There's no one to abuse
And mummy says “it’s all okay”
There’s nothing to excuse]

Ignore the screams outside her walls
Stay quiet and no harm will come
Dragged back by her hair and clothes
If she even thinks to run

It's easier to shut them out
The only connection is by name
Spending her days in fairytale ways
Praying she wont grow up the same

[Daddy says “no more today”
There's no one to abuse
And mummy says “it’s all okay”
There’s nothing to excuse]

Oh MY-Your pain is very evident My Dear-
and in writing this...you've come closer to dealing
with those deomons...KEEP WRITING
and perhaps with the conscientious understanding
of friends on-site..you will finally overcome and move on-

(it wasn't your fault..)
to understand this..is freedom
(It wasn't your fault)

Available to talk anytime~
