One More Night

Contributed by NoSaint on Saturday, 18th February 2006 @ 07:22:24 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

(Refrain)

(I wasn’t looking for a lover I was looking for a friend
When my world was collapsing and my sanity at an end
I just needed you to hold me tight
So I could make it through the night)

You said you would be there for me
But what I really needed you could not see
Just a gentle voice of reason to help through a tough time
A person to let me know they were a friend of mine

(Refrain)

You backed away and left me there
With nothing but my despair
Harder for me it was true
But I don’t really blame you

(Refrain)

Time will heal my pain
I will be my old self again
Better and stronger still
Less often my heart with sorrow fills

(I wasn’t looking for a lover I was looking for a friend
When my world was collapsing and my sanity at an end
I just needed you to hold me tight
So I could make it through the night)

Make it through one more night

Shari,

as I understand the meaning behind this beautiful song it makes it all that much more special. You captured each emotion, those that I have felt with you. This is a master of your heart and soul and I can hear its melody.WOuld love to hear this put to music.

When the stars are shining at night, know that Im with you.

love you tons
Michelle

Yes, sometimes we need just to be held, to be listened too, just to be there while we go through what we go through.. in order to make it through the night or day, or even just for 5 min.
We pray there will be understanding from others, when we ask for this special blessing.. hugs.. from me, raquelleah

I know when I have my down days, Michael does not say anything, he sits near me.. or just close to me, he is quiet, smiles.. lets me know every thing will be alright.. and I feel better just knowing he is there, and cares for me..I get well fast and I am up and ready to go on with my day.. and I do the same thing for him. Beautiful poem.. down to earth..
