Gems To Me

Contributed by NoSaint on Saturday, 18th February 2006 @ 05:52:32 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

People ask me what I see in each of my friends
Most are not average, some sanity transcends
I have always liked things that sparkle and shine
This describes all the friends that are mine

Each one is a gem so precious and rare
They all have such great gifts to share
No one is quite the same you see
And each means the world to me

Their spirits soar above the rest
I never settle for second best
So I surround myself with jewels
In no way am I anyone’s fool

For my friends shine so bright
I am always walking in the light
Of greatness in everyway
And am happy now on most days

So thank you each and every gem
And I won’t listen to them
For to me you are exquisitely right
And my friends you are a delight

What a gem of a write. If all our friends were cut from the same cloth, well, what fun would that be? One can never have enough friends, good to call you one, Shari.....Peace to you, Laura

This poem suits you well. Your heart is open, who could not tell that.. you share your love so freely, you are a gem, and this is why we all love you, because of your love.. and how you accept each and everyone of us for who we are..friends are family too.. and you have learned great wisdom in knowing who you are that shows us ourselves and vice versa.. you are wonderful.. hugs, raquelLeah

Shari sweet dear friend. You are a gem of a friend too. It takes one to know one. Your beautiful loving heart shines radiantly through out this piece. A beautifully written piece of poetry penned by a very talented and remarkable poetess. Shine on sweet lady.
