A Hurried Life
Oh no it’s a new day!
How did the old one get away?!
Did I even get time to play?!
How did April become May?!
Swirling and hurling life hurries by
Running, calling, faxing and flying,
At this rate will I feel I even lived before I die?
To say I am happy would be a lie
Oh to slow down and smell the coffee
To read a book, cook a meal,
To pig out in pajamas eating toffee
Wouldn’t that be the real deal?!
Can someone please scan and send me to France?
Or even take me out to dance?
Give meaning to the madness
Add some spark and laughing gladness?

that was refreshing, this site was getting a little depressed.
It needed some humor, so good job.

This is so humorous. I find the older I get the faster life goes. Heck, I barely have time to make the coffee and drink it, much less smell the aroma, lol. That toffee idea is a good one. Think I will run to the store tomorrow and pick some up. The smell of coffee and eating toffee may take a few strains of sadness off me, lol.
Big smiles,
Rita |
