Hmmm. I wonder if you have heard of
The Windmills of Your Mind
Words & Music by Alan & Marilyn Bergman & Michel Legrand
Recorded by Dusty Springfield, 1969 (#31)
Theme from "The Thomas Crown Affair," 1968
it goes a bit like this....
Round
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that’s turning
Running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes of it’s face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind
Or maybe you've heard of plagiarism, perhaps?
And carousels from windmills is so unimaginative and lazy. Maybe you heard this song in a deep sleep and thought it was an idea, but it wasn't. Now that you realise that your "poem' is nothing more than a 2nd hand ripoff of a classic song, please ask the moderators to remove it, or I will.
