I am the lion tamer but only on the good days
Don’t ask more of me than I can give
I am not a preacher of ubiquitous things
I am not the soul-searcher I used to be
I tend to be more grounded and think only in terms of reality
Life gets in the way of the abstraction
I charge up the batteries ready for another go
Pick up the chair, hold on to the whip
I’m not a girl you’d want to play with
Don’t be scared of me
I’m one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet
I act with poise and dignity
But don’t think life changing
I never do
Although that kind of pressure produces diamonds
Who are you?
