The new model year
Is finally here
There’s nothing to fear
It runs like a Deere
Just buy it, my dear
It’ll all become clear
You’ll be full of good cheer
And no one will jeer
You’re a proud new owner
No more pathetic loner
If you promise to enthrone her
She may even let you own her
Advertisers guess
Just what kind of dress
You’ll wear to impress
But they wont confess
That why you desire
What’s sent through the wire
Is to be accepted
By those also gifted
With a gaping black hole
In the depths of their soul
You fill it with cars
And heroin scars
But nifty new clothing
Wont cure your self loathing
So they go get their kicks
Reaching for the quick fix
And night after night
You wake up to fight
The feeling of doubt
That you’ll never know
What life’s all about
You’re ready to blow
Your heart seems to burst
you can’t quench that thirst
The void in your heart
That tears you apart
Can’t be defeated
By courses completed
world recognition
or sports car ignition
