Life of endless struggle

Topic: goodbyepoetry

Love once coursed through
The veins of my world
Pushing life onward
Pulling me along…
But my heart stopped beating
And with it stopped the world
It all came crashing down…
Leaving me to fall apart
Left to reminisce of laughter
Remembering our smiles
And the happy times we had…
Now all that remains
Is this sting of angry bliss
The tingling of the pain
And the hatred of my soul…

The piercing whispers of the wind
Push memories through the night air
The worries of the world,
Never seemed so heavy
The days all run together
Like a cocktail of misery
Drowning me in sadness…
twisting together in seemless torture
One night’s dreams
Turn into the next night’s nightmares…
Pushing sleep away
The sweet embrace of shattered hopes
Cut wounds deep into my feet
As I walked across the treacherous floor
That once lead me where to be…

The sorrow of the moonlight
Dancing on my windows
Laughing at me all night long
Keeping me awake
And alive to this cursed world…
Teasing me with the hope of release
No matter how sweet and short it may be
From the grasp of you
And this life of endless struggle…

A failure I was to you
And a beast in your eyes
You told me all you had to say
And you left…
You let me know I made you hate me
And miserable in this world I trapped you in…
