Friends that don't exist

The friends I thought I had are a mere memory
This place has changed them so much
One picks favorites though she doesn't know
One doesn't share but expects everyone else too
one says things that just won't die
some who could care less of what's going on, they live in the moment around them
Many make me feel that they are friends with me
but now their friendship is just a
mere memory

It's true that you can't pick your family, but you can pick your friends. Your write is very meaningful and yet subtle, outlining concisely what you are feeling.
Please consider some of my poetry also, if you have time. Thank you. |
