Phantoms of Reality

I walk out of one and into another,
My mind split in half and then cast asunder.
A mundane door, a portal of my own,
To walk through and trip, stumbling alone.
Familiar faces disconnected like dreams,
Haunting phantoms, behind silent screams.
The world spins, and then steadies awhile,
Sound caught like sight: a vacillating aisle.
One thing at a time holds all of my focus,
With the rest of the world swarming like locusts.
Seeing feeling, I see all that I feel:
A warm white field that is ever so real.
With only my thoughts, minutes pass by like hours,
Seeing all that I see, I marvel at the scintillating power.
