I've shared 8 years of my life with you;
and in that time, to me, you've always been true.

You've been a friend to me and stood by my side -
no matter what I was going through.
I knew, in you I could always confide.

You've shown me what it means to care.
When it mattered most - you were always there.

You've shown me what it means to feel.
You've opened my eyes to a world that's real!

You were stronger than I ever was,
for you were never cross.
No matter what my attitude to you it does.

You've shown me what it was to be tactful & kind.

You've taught me how to forgive,
and how not to be afraid to live.

You've made me remember who I want to be.
You helped me to set my pain free.

You've made me understand what it means to truely appreciate someone.
Never did you turn your back on me, no matter what I had done.

You've taught me patience.
You've given me strength when all else had failed.
You led me to a brighter place when so much unhappiness trailed.

You've taught me the meaning of true commitment.

You've helped me to believe in myself again;
even after how hopelessly down I had been.

You made me know a love so truely pure,
and when I started to lose hope & faith once again,
you gave me the cure.

I've shared 8 years of my life with you;
and in that time, to me, you've always been true.
But, the greatest thing you ever did do...

You never stopped being you!
