Forget You

Contributed by LittleWillow on Monday, 13th February 2006 @ 04:20:28 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

it's been months now
and I still can't believe you're gone
I need to get over you
but I'm finding it so hard
to forget about how passionately I loved you
to not mind the fact
that I already have my wedding dress
lock the man I was going to spend my life with
out of my mind
I can't talk to you like I did every day
the picture frames have changed
but my name will not
how could you do this to an innocent soul?
all I ever asked of you was your love and honesty
but since you don't believe in monogomy
you didn't deserve me anyway
why do you feel the need
to hack in between the lines
when I already shared my every aspect with you?
you're a pathetic being
and if I ever saw you again
I would rip out your spirit
and shred and shatter it to pieces
but then I would smile
and make you realize....
you have no power over me
I don't need you
I don't even want you
and I am all the better
for surviving you
but I still can't help but wonder....
did you really love me back?

This broke my heart when I read this. This loser does not and never will deserve you. I seriously hope that you find a guy that is worthy of bestowing your heart upon. This was a very well written poem. Keep it up!
