Trickling through our fingers
The sands of time
Much to this aging body
But to the soul within, sublime
Wisdom learned from lessons hard
Joy brought with each progression
Toward the ultimate goal
The Creators presence, ultimate perfection
Each new sunrise and sunset
Brings new hope, I will win
When this body’s time runs out
My spiritual life will begin
This vessel here is growing old
Cracks and lines in its glaze
Mind on many days works
Through a muddled haze
Yet to only one purpose
Show others the path anew
While I journey here
Letting the light within shine through

I love the first stanza and the 4th the very best..."This vessel here is growing old
