Rush

Contributed by Leslie on Sunday, 12th February 2006 @ 08:33:46 PM in AEST
Topic: PetPoems

Rush, rush
Here and there
Never knowing
If I can be
Everywhere

It is the holidays, afterall
Hush, hush sweet girl
No time to play ball
Her eyes beckon me
But it is off to work, doctors and mall

Now
Rush, rush
To the vet
Hoping all is well
In my heart I know
What I cannot speak or tell

An operation may help
I leave her in their care
Rush home, hopefully confident
With not a moment to spare

10:45 PM
She dies
I am devastated
And cry, cry and cry

I want time back!
I want her back!
I want time back!
I want her back!

I am not sure Leslie, if you really lost a loved one, or only hinting at the "rush" rush" rush" and with so much rushing, perhaps miss the "Quinttessense" of life.
But it is a very lovely and charming poem.

Oh Leslie, you got grit, you straightened a Bush basher out. :-) :-):-)
Praise the Lord.!
Hugs
