You're tired of worrying about the consequences of everything you do
If you're anything like me
You're constantly ashamed of yourself too
If you feel me
You'll feel the pounding of my heart beating
Come with me
I'll show you what it's like to be me
Always afraid to breathe
Afraid it's the end
Never believing in anything
When all you see
Is all you know
It's a scary place to be
It's a scary place to go
Once you're there you can never leave
Go, get out of here
If you're anything like me
You'll try to put the past behind you
But it always comes back
Right from under your feet
You're back on your face again
But if you're anything like me
You're never who you pretend to be
