best friends falling

Topic: FriendshipPoetry

i guess your leaving now
just like they always do
i tried to make this friendship last
but it's not me it's you
you wouldnt let me in
you closed yourself up
i guess maybe
your just to scared to trust
wait a minute
pause the music
i did the same
that you did
you came along
you saved my life
it was so much fun
for a time
when everything started to fall
i began to think
about the things we do together
about the things you say to me
it is all so very true
the words that leave you mouth
i don't know what to do
because i know you know me now
with every word that i begin to say
i begin to build my wall
the wall made of bricks and lies
a wall that cannot fall
you built yours up too
i saw it in your eyes
your scared just like me
so you gather all the lies
memories of lonely tears
and being so forgotten
memories of leaving you
and feeling so ***** rotten
it scares me that i know these things
but it also scares you
you cannot deny this
this is something i know too
but maybe if we built
just two more solid walls
we could build a house
a house that never falls
it would be just me and you
no one else could see
there would be no doors nor windows
just us like we used to be
it would be just like it used to
when we would talk forever
but this time it really would be
not just a single long hour
we would never leave this house
and no one could come in
i would never leave your side
you are my best friend
i leave you now with this choice
to add on to my wall
add your secrets and your fears
i promise they won't fall
the house may grow old
but it will never hit the ground
our friendship will keep it strong
it's all up to you now....

I can relate to what you are going through, but you've learned to cope with your feelings better than I have. I truly inspiring poem. So beautiful and deep. The poem flows, making it nice to read. And the emotions make it powerful. Great Write.
