LostLove
|
Of you my mind will ever think,
For you my heart will long,
For you my soul will ever want,
For you can do no wrong.
For you my lips will never touch,
My arms will never hold,
And yet for you I have no fear,
And am forever bold.
For you my eyes will ever weep,
My heart not far behind,
For you, my love, shall always be
Forever on my mind.

I cringed a bit when I saw the other comment that called this "cute". By title alone... I don't think I could use that word to describe this.
It is... lovely... painfully so. It is somewhat brief - but in this particular piece, I find the brevity quite wonderful. The flow is perfect and the expression beautiful... but it is the simple, straightforward, undeniable longing embedded here that moves me the most.
Nicely done!
