A car on the left,
A car on the right.
They rev their engines,
As they wait at a red light.
Their hearts are pounding,
Adrenaline and emotions are high.
The light turns green,
They are off, watch them fly.
They are going at top speed
Cutting each other off and switching lanes.
They have now become reckless,
Emotions take over, they no longer use their brains.
They are running red lights
All of this just to come out on top.
Is it worth all the danger,
Will they ever stop?
The end of the road is near.
Suddenly there is another car, unaware.
Cars swerve and lose control.
All three cars are beyond repair.
The drivers approach the innocent car.
They take one look inside, realize their biggest fear.
They take a step back and try to digest,
Inside the car are all of their peers.
So the race is over,
Everything is said and done.
Everyone ended up hurt,
So who has won?
