Casualty Of Me

Contributed by themonk on Friday, 10th February 2006 @ 02:46:11 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

I am a casualty of me,
Yet, somehow the body count ends at three.
My soul, my body, my mind, all lost in time.
Pushing headstrong, but
I'm stuck in rewind.

Like throwing knives against the wind,
My past returns to cut within.
Falling to pieces as I drop.
If only hope could grow as crop.
I'd raise it in my closet,
I'd harvest it when i want.
I'd water them and sow the seeds- everyday.
To make certain that they exist,
And to watch them sprout amongst the mist.

And the store of redemption is where I shop.
Always looking for items to keep me sane,
But sadly... for the price of sanity,
I've spared no change.

How much for the price,
Of the meaning in Life?
And how much for the price,
to regaining my sight
....of the truth?

I am a casualty of me.
So bury me so secretly benief the willows
Of the trees, where I am always silent from the breeze.
And maybe then .... and only then, I can be free...
