some say the way we display we bring our pain to ourselves
but not all of us drink from the same well
not all of us care about actors movies and songs
most of us care that the worlds going wrong
we worry each day if our time will be due
for us to live like others do
because we are free doesnt mean we are safe
look at this time there isnt a place
we are placid no fight in this dawn
we are surrounded by electronics they help keep us calm
swallowed pride i hang my head low follow the heard i go where they go

Hi RMW,
I really enjoyed this post. Pertinent, current and resonant with all of us. Yes we are the product of a herd culture, and following the crowd has social and survival benefits most of the time. And yes, we take comfort in illusions and toys. Yet your poem indicates to me that you are a free spirit when you want to be. Thanks for posting,
