selfstruggles

Dragon flies once more
Ravaging all in its path
Raking heart with doubt
Fires of misfortune
Spew from its mouth
Hope thing of past
Clawing ever deeper
Self worth prize it seeks
Will it devour soul?
Warrior from within
Strikes back
Truth her only sword
Spirit mighty
Wisdom ancient
Stands by her side
Tale older than time
Time only tale
Life to be continued

Shari,
The inner struggles rage on, and I like your dragon/warrior imagery of the different elements of that internal conflict. A poem with meaning for all of us, at one time or another.

What a very well described metaphor. Life is a struggle, but we live on. Life to be continued......a positive end to this very well done piece.
Great job!
