Invisible prison of a place I never wanted to be
You do this to punish me
I was ony being honest
I guess once you're here
You can never leave
Farewell to you
It's a great goodbye
It's the one that I've been looking forward to.
I continue my quest to break my chains

This poem would have been great, if you had elaborated more. I know some poets try to limit their stanzas (I know I do) it’s a technique leaving one wondering and thinking, well isn’t this just mysterious? But what is this place you’re talking about that I’m supposed to hate? (or even you yourself!). How about trying to describe it and Farewell to whom exactly? The last line is good. You do have the talent, you just need to keep working hard! |
