The rain pours off the roof as another homeless dies
ive seen him everyday as he wept and cried
A young mother pushes her stroller off to welfare
to get some money for a bottle of vodka and smokes
but no love for this kid as the poor woman chokes
The weeds in the lot outside my room
fills me with decay of this city's tomb
The tourists all come to see the big lights
urinating on the streets and causing fights
This is the summer in my hometown
i wonder why i never go around
BEACHBLANKET FOLLYS AND NEEDLES IN ARMS
why is it that we do so much harm
just remember those poor souls when you're out for your stroll
it you who have to pay for your soul
