And I step out into the cold air, it's just as cold as me,
Blinking back invisible tears, the tears that you can't see,
Starring out the window, the shadows pass me bye,
I need some escape or release, I must break down and cry,
Your words just fly right through me, don't leave a single scar,
And I feel distant as you yell, so desolate and so far,
Well Mr. Doctor healed me, but I learned a new escape,
Nothing affects me anymore, my soul has been undraped,
And everyone might see through me, but I don't really care,
I continue on with life, offering nothing more than a blank stare,
No I don't cut myself anymore, no wounds left to heal,
But the detatchment I experience, is perhaps more real,
And I may not hide in my room, but I'm secretly in my own world,
Where I stay for hours, where many dreams have been unfurled,
I don't know if I'll ever get better, or what may be the outcome,
Instead of feeling physical pain, I've become emotionally numb...
