I took a ride into the countryside,
where the horizon stretched for miles
and the streets reached into infinity.
In a field stood a lonely aged tree,
with drooping branches that held abandoned bird's nests.
I stood and watched as the cows laid down to rest
just before the moon started to arc.
In the dark, the tree was illuminated by moonlight rays.
The morning dew laid down on the blades
and it glistend and the Countryside listened
to the whisper of the mist.
Then, my doves flew above the tree,
into the Morning Sun, following the road into Infinity....

Strikingly beautiful imagery! These lines showed me a gorgeous "mind picture":
"The morning dew laid down on the blades
and it glistend and the Countryside listened
to the whisper of the mist." Your use of synesthesia here is powerful! Nice work...

Reminds me of early mornings mushroomin' sitting on an old log watching the moon high in the sky illuminating the whole field.
Leaving little slivers of silver on the branches of the great oak in front of me.
Thanks for bringing back such wonderful memories. Great work.
