Your darkness seeps into my skin
Corroding it, tinting it
to suit your dark nature;
Overwhelmed by the power
behind this surge of bleakness
which murders solicited feelings.
Concealing self-hatred
with this dense mask of false contentment
Instability
dragging beneath the soles of my shoes
every task unbearably hopeless
no drive, no passion,
No dreams occupy my thoughts
No soulmates, no laughter
the world is crashing down.
Comfort me in this hour
of my soul's betrayal
for it has fallen in the pit of darkness
succumbing to addiction's inescapable world
a spiral of inevitable repetition.
