Velvet butterfly, please go to hell
Before I crush you with despair
On your beauty, I used to dwell
Late at night I slept in your glare

Now you die of your own vanity
But you don’t seem to care
That your wings have fallen off
Since I left and wasn’t there

Velvet butterfly, please go to hell
And let me imagine one last time
Lucid colours from your bitter well
And the taste of what wasn’t mine
