Outside but Still In

Contributed by darkstarsk8er1989 on Tuesday, 7th February 2006 @ 06:33:26 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I'm here but lost.
I know who I am but I forgot.
I found a purpose but I'm still searching for a meaning.
I'm protesting but still agreeing.
I'm alive but dead.
I'm thinking but I can't feel my head.
I'm still there but I've already returned.
I can't feel the fire but I'm getting burned.
I'm in a crowd but I'm alone.
I'm in my bed but I'm not at home.
It is growing but has already diminished.
I continue one but it's already been finished.
I speak the truth but scream the lies.
It rains on me even during clear skies.
Day feels like night.
I do wrong when I mean right.
I am numb but still seem to feel.
My wounds are closed but still won't heal.
I stepped outside but still feel in.
It's impossible to lose but I just can't win.
I'll keep trying even when it's done.
They think it's over but it's only just begun.

some not -so contradicting contradictions!
i can relate to many of the circumstances stated and feel you have expressed them very well, despite the confusion.
A gentle flow and rhyme scheme.
I enjoyed the piece, thanks for sharing.
