There's a girl I see
But does she see me?
I watch her from afar
On the street, or in a bar.
Her beauty is overwelhimg
Looking at her leaves my heart swimming
I want to pull her close and hold her tight
I want to smell the sweetness of her skin, see her body in the moonlight
I want to kiss her soft, rose petal lips
Caress her silky soft skin and run my hands down her hips
She is the one I dream of day and night
Being with her is the only thing that seems right
The first time I gazed upon her
I felt the pull, I felt the lure
The need to be next to her, the burning ache however dull
The wanting, hoping, needing down deep in my soul
Now my desire is to make her mine
Take that step, cross that line
But fear that she doesn't feel the same
That she doesn't even know my name
The tighting in my chest, the sweat on my hand
The ultimate fear of rejection, leaves me frozen, still is how I stand
My knees get weak and I turn to leave
There's a girl I see, but she will never see me.
