Imprints Of A Poet...

Contributed by eternal_dreamer on Monday, 6th February 2006 @ 03:44:29 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

Imprints of a poet…

Talented and gifted
In their own little ways
They captured my heart
With their poems of the day

Such flare with a pen
Poetic verses they flowed
Masterpieces in the make
Fluently they showed

They have seen me through
My down days of sorrow
They lifted up my spirits
To a brighter tomorrow

Oh where would I be
If it wasn’t for you all
I’d be drowning endlessly
In emotional blues I’d fall

So with Imprints of poets
In my heart I’ve been blest
For the honour has been mine
To have been amongst the best…

Kenty, RaquelLeah, Bobotheclown, WildeJohnny,
Man_On_High, Breezy, Chase09, byBen, Shelby, HauntedScorp, MorningDove, LovingCritters, Emystar, Strider, Brew, Silent-No-More, BlueGusto, Nazzy, hippienurse, Jenni_K, In_a_while, NoSaint, Ladyfawn,
Jmpy84, lovewriter, moses and the list is endless. To the poets that I have not listed, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Susie Q, I am very honored to have met you. You have placed your wonderful spirit on us all. YPDC family is beautiful. You are so uplifting to us Susie Q. Your poem here is excellent and lets just all say, without you, there would be a very large void. You are my friend and I am your friend, so therefore we gave ourselves each a present. The fragrance of your poetry is goodness of your soul sharing to us, your love has no faults, you are a tender soul, nothing from your love can annoy any of us.. your passion and desire, your intellectual and emotional personality will help all of us writers to flourish. We all thrive on friendship here, on love.. and we are all luxuriently growing in our medium together. Thank you friend for this lovely trophy of a poem. Hugs.. raquel leah

My precious SuzieQ, sweet adored friend that you are, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You know though, that if I had written this poem, your name would have been in place of mine along with all the rest you chose. Your work is always to close to my heart and reads strongly of all the qualities I admire in people and expect out of love. You, little Roo, are precious to me.

Oh, and I forgot to say how wonderful the poem itself is. You are such a natural at just letting those words just flow out so poetically. Beautiful. :-)

I've been here more times than I care to ... or perhaps rightly should, admit. Each time, the dedication steals what remains of my breath when then poem is concluded. There are a trmendous number of talented individuals on this site and to have been listed among them is wonderfully and fantabulously amazing to me each time I read these words ... and every time I log in to YPDC.

Sue, Thank you for shedding light upon some whose work I was otherwise unaware.

Nazzy ~
