MY 20 CANDLES...

Contributed by GINA on Monday, 27th January 2003 @ 08:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: BirthdayPoems

Started as a cry in a hospital room
Turned to a song and bed time's croon

Became the pleasure of hiding the first tooth
before discovering that fairies is not a truth

Later going crazy...seing no rule
Having fun...playing...acting fool

Then high school,sooner graduation day
Two years passed in the Uni,the third on the way

20 years now...how short to me it seems
Passed like a glance or a brief day dream

I've tasted the bitter and the sweet
I've endured the cold and the heat

I've had times of happiness and cheer
I've also wiped my very own tear

I've met the good ones and the bad
I've won and lost some friends i had

Now i'm ready to face this world so cruel
As i learned to obey carefully its rule

With a tear in my eye frozen and unseen
Today i kiss goodbye my precious teen

I hide it in my memory and a picture frame
For i'll never live it again , never the same

No one in this date can feel the special meaning that i see
They just blow the candles and wish a happy birthday to me

What can you say, kobir 7marna sene, I won't translate that, but I will take the chance to wish you a happy birth day, and tell eveyone who reads my comment that Gina is a special girl, she might be young (only 20) but she has the intelligence of a 35 ;). Good luck in the rest of your life my friend
