All Equal

Contributed by moses on Saturday, 4th February 2006 @ 04:01:57 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

You're afraid of what God might say,
You want to know tho, if where you're going,
is the right way.
Keep your head up to the light,
and hope for a bright day.

Some people aren't faithful,
some cheat, some beat,
they're so hateful.
They hold no respect, I'd bet my neck
they aren't greatful.

You find protection and affection
under the steeple,
but why only in death-
Do all people become equal?

The last stanza just sets out there on its own...what a statement there. Well said. Peace, Laura

In God's eyes we are all equal. In the eyes of loving humans, we are all equal. As there is goodness in this world, there is also evil and it is gaining ground daily. If we don't choose to banish it from our personal world we will be taken down by the spirits of evil. I believe there are more good caring people in this world than bad, but they aren't the ones getting recognition in the press. They are too busy living life and caring for their family and taking on their responsibilities. Not newsworthy enough. It only matters what our Heavenly Father believes in the end of life. Nice write. Morning Dove

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
