He shrunk me down with words so sharp,
that his lips bled more as each insult swarmed out.
He carried me, with gentle, giant fingers
to a landscape all his own.
Out of my element,
scared and alone,
he took note to crumble my last shred of an ego.
“You’re nothing” he’d whisper,
as he brushed my face.
“I’m all you have”
he’d cut me down to size.
And then, comfort me
when the tears fell from my eyes.

Not sure if this belongs in fantasy, but it exemptlifies an abusive person perfectly. Good write. And to hell with abusive people. |
