Dear lord...It's time that I said it

God you are my strength
You always keep me sheltered from the storm
And I never take the time to give you thanks
For all of these miracles you have performed
"The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe"
And I have ran for safety so many times Lord
You took me in when I was a waif
And it took awhile but soon I was fully restored
My soul was at peace
I now feel such great joy
My worries have ceased
I live a life that I finally enjoy
God you've givin so much
And I know I dont always deserve it
When I couldn't walk you were my crutch
And when I needed a job you reserved it
I was so hopeless
But you looked past that
You said I was a work in progress
You guided me through times I didn't think I would last at
You are on my side and I feel so blessed
When I fell you picked me up when I thought I would get laughed at
There were times when I questioned your exsistance
But now I do not see how I could have
Everything makes perfect sense
Who else could have gotten me through tose times that were oh so bad
I praise you for being my father
And believing in my when no one else would
Times when I thought no one would bother
You always understood
And no matter what people may so about you
Blaming you for their downfalls
I know inside your words are true
And they dont know you at all
They dont even have a clue
Their mind has a brick wall
But even with all of what they say
You still love them
And never have lead them astray
So how can they condemn
I'll pray for them Lord
Because you say pray for my enemies
Because even the hopeless (like I was) shouldn't be ignored
Hopefully they will listen intentley
Amen

...very nicely expressed...this relationship you write of is so unique to each of us...people would infer that when I failed and failed and failed (sinned) he would turn his back on me...my experience was that he came and sat in the mud puddle with me until I had strength to walk out of it...he is faithful beyond human experience...

...very nice write...warm...hopeful...

...thanks,

ron...enigma

He is a loving Father and never turns his back on us. If we allow him, he is always with us to love and listen and forgive. Your open confession is refreshing in this time when so many ostracize Him from their lives. Too many realize too late that He is real and He is the Father they always needed. Blessings to you.

Very lovely and enjoyable poem, with a topic O love to see expressed by modern poets. Spirituality in essence is the very nature of both art and expression, which is why it is so hard to qualify aggression as either. Wonderful job!
