I'm fine. Really.
I'm great, it's alright.
I don't care. I understand.
Plans change, no reason to fight.
You hung out with your man?
Oh wow, that's nice.
Great job standing ME up,
But did you have a nice night?

The sarcasm comes through nice and clear! Keep working on letting the anger out and then hopefully you can have a good honest chat with your friend.
Hugs,

This is such a familiar subject for me...
One time my best friend missed my going away party so she could go paintballing with her boyfriend...needless to say, they broke up a week later. It sucks, I know, but hopefully she'll realize that she needs to sort a few priorities out sometimes, including your friendship. It's always best to talk to her honestly about it though. Good write and good luck! |

I love it! My daughter goes through the same thing with her friends--they meet "the guy" and leave their friends out of their life! Sad--someday we all regret doing that.
I now don't have many friends--wished I had learned that in my younger years--we need your poem to remind us of what's important!
Thanks!
