Scars on My Soul

Contributed by flamingblade on Thursday, 2nd February 2006 @ 03:39:12 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

The pain is written on my face
As I walk away
in my head From the torture you put me through
my arms are scarred
as is my soul
No one sees
the real me
who's bruised and hurt
and cries at night
for who she is
Or used to be
No one sees
How hard you throttle
I conceal the cuts
from your broken bottle
Bruises are my family
my only friends
As I jump off the bridge
I think
I'm coming home, mommy

...that something so utterly painful can be so beautifully expressed id such irony...but, you have done it...don't jump...we Love you...all of us hurt people...we Love you...you can't know our existence through the sensory organs, but we are there...every last one of us...

...and, there are a whole lot more of us than there are of them...

...beautifully written...
