Magic Passion

Contributed by Mystik on Thursday, 2nd February 2006 @ 03:37:09 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

A quiet little girls imagination.....
Thoughts mispelled, yet wrote-
This is where it did begin,
Scribbled like a note.
The emotions and stages,
Each unique and real-
Releasing them from their cages,
Telling blank paper how I feel.
Writing my hearts words everyday-
Steadily year after year,
Never blank for what to say
Wearing a smile, or with a tear.
Each piece to go into a drawer,
Where magic passion survived
Until that drawer had room no more-
For the words that I inscribed.
So natural it has always been,
To flow my thoughts by hand-
My joy, sorrow, heart and sin,
Silently begging for one to understand.

I adore the line "Telling blank paper how I feel". It jumped right out at me as I read this piece.

I can definitely relate to your author's note and the poem itself... with the exception of being unable to say "EVERYDAY" as you did (I foolishly set down the pen for many a year). This piece, I imagine, would be relatable to anyone that feels writing to be a passion that they cannot (will not) live without.

One smallish technical note... I believe the second line would be improved by changing "wrote" to "written" to read as "Thoughts misspelled, yet written -". I'm not a grammer expert, mind you... but it seems more correct that way. Hope you don't mind the feedback.
