Going back home is always difficult,
when you leave one behind.
Searching for a new life once destroyed,
hoping that past ones will forgive.
Searched my soul for some light still left,
and seeking a life rewind.
Lust unwanted and must be avoided,
painful thoughts that will not leave.
Green now fades to black;
Yellow to blue.
Cracked hearts still attacked,
Souls be untrue.
Many hurt instead of help;
They laugh,
They scorn,
And bruise untruths.
While my grass is aflame,
no one will take the blame.
And hurts remain for life,
No matter the strife.
