Abhorred Futility

Abhorred futility.
A paradox.
Irony.
To succumb to the undesirable, odious, untoward,
If only but reluctantly,
If only to achieve--
To obtain--
The desired, the next acme, the insatiable.
To fall in order to rise again.
To sleep, but only to wake.
To hasten to fall into line.
To love but lose to love again;
To love again even only to lose and love again.

Very deep... sometimes the best poems just
spill out. I liked the line about falling so you
can stand again as well as the last two lines.
