Inbetween Daylight

Contributed by grode on Sunday, 29th January 2006 @ 04:48:04 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

In the silence I find myself,
when the only voice is deep within,
and conversation finally has true meaning,
In the darkness I find the light,
when daylight dies the pressure fades,
and my mind is free to roam the earth,
Inbetween moments I find reality,
when the world slows my visison clears,
behind the motion the world is right,
In the past I see joy and pain,
the stolen photographs hang in my mind,
their unorganization is what makes me whole,
In my memories I find you,
Some Impacts are never mean't to live forever,
So as I cry the tears of yesterdays,
you wipe them away with the years we had,
because in my heart you never died,

A beautiful write and a great tribute to your dad. My best friend died 2 months ago, so I understand all the emotion behind this. Nice work.

A very touching, emotional poem with beautiful images, the last line especially. I send you my best wishes,

Dom
